The day ‘Shey’ fans have been waiting for arrives as Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) New Year’s Eve wedding gets on its way. The pair look genuinely happy and are ready to commit to each other but of course, Adam (Mark Grossman) has to make things difficult.
He crashes the wedding but does he do it openly and make his presence known? Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) catches Adam lurking in the background at Society and demands to know why he is there. Will she manage to talk her friend into doing the right thing, which entails being loyal to Chelsea (for a change) and letting Sharon be happy? The Young and the Restless History
YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
