The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, December 20, 2019, features a topsy, turvy day for Phyllis. She’s been beaten down, written off, and thrown away. But, don’t expect her to stay that way for long. Make sure to tune in so you don’t miss a moment of the action.
The war between Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) is a vicious one, indeed. Red is going out of her mind trying to bring the Newman princess down but it’s not easy. Destroying Abby would mean destroying her relationship with almost everyone she knows.
Abby is known a town sweetheart. She’s a good woman with a good soul and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. (Sure, Jan). Red knows better. She knows Abby is as sneaky as they come and she has to prove it without angering everyone. One wrong move and it will bounce back and she’ll come out the bad guy, again.
Red’s plight becomes apparent when she has another face-off with Jack (Peter Bergman). She all but begs her ex for kindness, support, and the benefit of the doubt but he’ll shut her down fast. Nope, he’s not going to hear it. His niece is basically perfect and would never do anything that wasn’t justified.
Red’s always the bad one and she’s sick of it. She doesn’t just deserve a job or the hotel, she deserves a throne. Phyllis vows to take what’s hers, expose the truth, and make everyone pay. She’s tried to be nice, she’s tried to be kind, and she’s tried to play by everyone else’s rules. But that’s over now.
Expect to see and old side of Phyllis emerge in the coming weeks. Rumor has it she’s going for broke and will do whatever it takes to finally come into her own. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
