The Young and the Restless spoilers raw breakdown for Tuesday, May 5, 2020, takes a trip back in time to August 17, 1987. Nikki is faking being deathly ill, Victor knows all but is pretending he doesn’t, and two men prepare to propose.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is in recovery from a deadly lung infection but she doesn’t want anyone else to know. The longer she’s sick the more Victor (Eric Braeden) dotes on her and ignores Ashley, so why say anything? Little does she know, Victor knows (because of course he does) and he’s getting ready to rock her world.

So, Nikki thinks she’s playing Victor, Victor is definitely playing Nikki, and Ashley is in for a fight to stay with the man she loves. It is a twisted situation made worse by Nikki’s sick fantasies of faking her death.

Two Men And A Lady

Phillip (Thom Bierdz) is also fighting for love. He’s dated Cricket (Lauralee Bell) all summer and is ready to take the next step. Is she ready, though? She hasn’t exactly broken up with Danny (Michael Damian). They’re on a break and Danny wants to pick things up where they left off, too.

Danny better act fast, though. Phillip heads to the jeweler to pick up a ring. Does he really think proposing will keep Cricket from her soulmate? It could work, except Cricket loves Danny and Phillip doesn’t end up with a woman at all.

John and Jack: Don’t Settle For Less

Phillip isn’t the only man looking for a wife. John (Jerry Douglas) wants to heat things up with his lady love as well. Ellen has a big-time job offer and is weighing her options. Does she stay at her comfortable gig in Genoa City or move away and hit the big time?

John (Jerry Douglas) doesn’t want to influence her decision but Jack (then-Terry Lester) implores him to make a move. If John watches Ellen walk away without popping the question he will regret it for the rest of his life. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
