The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 2, 2019, promise the end of Chick. Poor Nick reaches his breaking point with Chelsea and decides pursuing this romance just isn’t worth the trouble, especially since she’s clearly in love with another man.
It’s New Years Eve is Genoa City and Nick (Joshua Morrow) decides it’s high time to figure out his life. He loves Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and he adores his nephew, but enough is enough. She’s living with Adam (Mark Grossman) and creating a new family and it’s time to let her go.
Spoilers show a talk with Jack (Peter Bergman) puts everything into perspective for the Newman powerhouse. He realizes what Adam’s been saying all along — Chelsea is with him because he his safe but her heart really belongs to his brother.
It’s a harsh reality but the timing is right. Why ring in 2020 with her by his side when their romance no longer feels right?

Much to his relief (or dismay) Chelsea won’t fight back. She dries her tears and agrees it’s for the best. This is Nick’s birthday after all and what he wants, he gets. Who is she to argue with a man who has given her everything and asked for very little in return?
Expect the expected when Chelsea races off to find Adam. She runs to the condo and all but leaps back into his arms. It’s a moment everyone will want to see. Adam’s life will finally fall back into place.
Is this truly the reunion fans have been waiting for since Adam’s return? Chadam was a fan favorite couple before the explosion but a lot has changed since then.
