The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 23, 2020, tease some troubling secrets about besties Adam and Chance coming to light. They share a shady past and keeping their Vegas life in the past may not be an option anymore.
Adam (Mark Grossman) stops by the hotel to see Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and ends up visiting with Chance (Donny Boaz) too. The ex-agent grabs his buddy and sits him down for a little one-on-one — loudly and in public, of course.
They get comfy right in the middle of the hotel lounge for all to hear. Sure, they’ll be whisper-yelling, as if that somehow makes them immune to listening ears. It doesn’t. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) overhears much of what’s going on.
Chance is beside himself with worry over one of their shady friends. He can’t find a lady from their past. Is she missing? Is she on the run? Is she dead? Don’t worry, Adam says. He has it all under control. She may be gone but she has to turn up soon so she can cash her big monthly check.
Wait, what check? Chance has no idea about money changing hands. Adam reveals he makes monthly payments to their favorite girl to keep her quiet. But, what does she have to be quiet about?

Whatever it is they can’t chance it getting out and their skeletons flying around. Even when Chelsea tries to gently confront her man about what she heard, Adam downplays everything. No need to worry her if he can keep his lies under lock and key, right?
