The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, June 30, 2020 flash back to Christmas, December 14, 1994, for a reminder of why Paul’s mother could be a bit much. Plus, Nikki’s dislike of Sharon is born, and Dru has an announcement!
On Monday, we watched Paul (Doug Davidson) propose to Christine (Lauralee Bell). She thought about it for a bit, then finally said yes. Now it’s time to plan the wedding! Which means a bridal shower.
Paul’s mother, Mary (Carolyn McCormick) is thrilled about her son’s bride to be. So thrilled that she just can’t contain herself from crashing Chris’ shin-dig. And, if we know Mary, she’s carrying a pot roast recipe in one hand… and a book of baby names in the other.
The way Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) sees it, Sharon (Sharon Case) is just another blonde-haired, blue-eyed, trailer trash social climber with her eye on the Newman fortune. And that position is currently filled.
Nikki hates the idea of her baby boy and namesake, Nick (Joshua Morrow) – or, Nicholas, as she always oh, so primly calls him – falling for the same act… that once so captivated dear old dad. If it takes one to know one, then Nikki knows one when she sees one.
Dru (Victoria Rowell) made a little error in judgment – or was that measurement? She took a little too much cough medicine. And then she accidentally had sex with her brother in law. Now Dru has an announcement to make.
Will she ‘fess up about what went down between her and Malcolm (Shemar Moore) – or will she reveal the result of that oopise? But not exactly how it happened. In any case, in true YR fashion, this is a secret that will take many soapy years to come out in full! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
