The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, October 22, 2020, reveal Summer coming out of hiding and getting a big shock.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) needs to get away from the mourning in the Abbott home once again and heads into the office where he promptly finds Summer (Hunter King). She’s not even wearing her disguise anymore but she is ready to let loose.
She accuses him of running straight to Lola (Sasha Calle) as soon as she took off and she’s not wrong. Even before Dina (Marla Adams) died, Society was the first place he showed and Lola called him out on it. When Summer brings up Kyle returning to his dating apps, Kyle deduces the truth — that she was having him followed.
Then, Summer turns to the night she found him talking with Lola at Crimson Lights and how they were both laughing and smiling. Kyle breaks the news that his grandmother had just passed and Lola was cheering him up and offering his condolences.
At that point, Summer feels terrible and offers her own condolences but then quickly points out that he did send a text to Lola the night before their planned elopement and that’s why she felt she couldn’t go down that road again.
Later, Kyle finds Summer in the park where she’d been reminiscing in her mind about the last few happy months with Kyle. Still, she couldn’t get that text out of her mind. She also thought of how pensive Kyle looked the day his divorce became final.
Still, Kyle tells Summer he’s not giving up. It’s Summer he loves and not Lola and he’s not going to let her go so easily. Summer looks as if she wants to cave but she’s not there yet. Will Kyle be able to convince her he’s truly a one-woman man? (Will he also convince us?) The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
