The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, June 25, 2020, have quite a treat in store for soap fans. After leaving All My Children, where he’d been half of the ridiculously popular supercouple, Cliff and Nina, Peter Bergman took over the role of Jack Abbott on YR – and promptly won his first of three (two back to back) Emmys in 1991.
Thursday’s episode from November 15, 1991, shows why AMC’s loss was YR’s gain, as Jack makes a confession to Nikki. Plus, Dina makes nice with John… which prompts Jill to hire Paul and Nathan to do what they do best.
Peter Bergman may have won two Emmys in the 1990s, but, at the same time, Jack knew exactly where he stood with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) – he was number two, and he always would be. Jack entered their marriage with his eyes wide open – which is more than can be said for Nikki. She was paddling furiously up that river of denial. Time to discuss that – and quite a few other – issues.
Dina (Marla Adams) abandoned John (Jerry Douglas) and their three children decades earlier. She may not remember that now, thanks to her Alzheimer’s, but (some) viewers still do. The first time she returned to Genoa City, Dina wasn’t too interested in making amends with said children. (Her idea of ingratiating herself with Ashley was sleeping with the same guy Ashley was, then dropping the bombshell that John wasn’t Ashley’s biological father. Thanks, Mom.) But, every time she returned subsequently, Dina did seem interested in beguiling John again. And he fell for it. Every. Single. Time.
This didn’t sit right with Jill (Jess Walton). Who sicced private eyes Paul (Doug Davidson) and Nathan (Nathan Purdee) on John’s ex-wife’s trail. Money is no object! Just bring her something! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
