The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, August 12, 2020, promise Summer finally being honest with her parents, Victor and Chelsea getting honest with each other, and Amanda getting honest with herself.
Long time viewers know how many times Summer (Hunter King) has had to be supportive of her parents getting back together. When she was a little girl, she was probably genuinely excited about Mommy and Daddy reuniting.
But now that she’s an adult, the idea of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) jumping into bed again makes her physically ill. Not because she hates imagining her parents having sex. It’s because she knows how this ends. Always. It ends with anger and recrimination. And she’s had enough. No more faking enthusiasm. Hunter is going to give them a piece of her mind!
Victor (Eric Braeden) was willing to give up Newman Enterprises to keep Adam (Mark Grossman) from learning he killed a guy as a kid. Adam doesn’t believe Victor’s accusation.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), however, does believe it. And, in order to protect Adam from himself, she is willing to join forces with Victor. But does Victor ever do anything that isn’t mostly for Victor? What does he have planned… that he needs Chelsea’s help with?
On Monday, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) was thinking warm, fuzzy thoughts about Nate (Sean Dominic). On Wednesday, she puts the brakes on their relationship. What changed over Tuesday?
Well, on Tuesday, Amanda accepted a job offer from Lily (Christel Khalil)… and Billy (Jason Thompson). A few months ago, Amanda and Billy were drifting towards… something. They decided to quit drifting and went their separate ways. But now they’ll be thrown back into each other’s orbits. Is that what makes Amanda decide there’s no room in her life for Nate?
