The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, December 23, 2019, promise a day of mother/daughter bonding as Phyllis celebrates the birth of her youngest child. Summer’s in for a treat when Red takes her out and tries not to spiral out of control.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is one proud mama! She takes Summer (Hunter King) to Society for a special birthday lunch and announces the celebration to everyone who will listen.
Her beautiful daughter is one year older, one year wiser, and quite the successful young lady. Summer has it all and Phyllis couldn’t be happier.
In true Phyllis fashion, it’s not long before talk turns to her life instead of the birthday girl. Expect the absolutely expected as Red whines, cries, and pretends to not want to talk about her life. Don’t worry, Super Girl, mama will come out on top eventually. Maybe. One day, right?
It takes everything in Phyllis not to blubber all over the table. She’ll hold it together (barely) and try to get this luncheon back on track.
Phyllis always has problems (in fact, she IS a problem) but why ruin an otherwise perfectly pleasant day with her tales of woe?
Phyllis has a few surprises in store for her darling daughter. Get ready to be wow’d when Summer opens her gift. Stunning and sparkly earrings are waiting for her and they’ll nearly take her breath away. Red knows how to play the gift-giving game, that’s for sure!
The best surprise comes when Phyllis brings in an imported cake. No, sweetie, Lola (Sasha Calle) didn’t make this special treat. Phyllis wanted her to have her favorite things and that definitely …continue reading on the next page —>
The best surprise comes when Phyllis brings in an imported cake. No, sweetie, Lola (Sasha Calle) didn’t make this special treat. Phyllis wanted her to have her favorite things and that definitely does not include a desert by her ex’s wife.
While her mother goes on and on, Summer will get some wonderful messages from some of her favorite guys including Jack (Peter Bergman) and Theo (Tyler Johnson).
The most touching, though, will come from Kyle (Michael Mealor). It’ll be a heartfelt message that gets dangerously close to accidentally crossing a line. If anyone has any doubt Kyle’s still harboring old feelings it’ll end when they see what he wrote! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
