The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 29, 2020, gives us a classic episode from July 6, 2004, as Kay wrestles with her demons post botched intervention.
Kay (Jeanne Cooper) had no interest in what living people had to say about her drinking, whether they were son Brock, granddaughter Mac, or “daughter” Jill. Maybe she’ll do a better job listening to her ghosts.
It’s a regular Christmas in July as Kay’s past rises to yell at her in the form of Phillip, the husband she killed by driving drunk, and Phillip, his illegitimate son with Jill (Jess Walton), who Kay tried to charm away from his admittedly neglectful mother.
Of course, we learned later that young Phillip merely faked his death. For some very stupid reasons. But why let that ruin a perfectly good haunting? They seem to not want Kay to drink, either.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) did a good job convincing Daniel that Danny (Michael Damian) was to blame for Phyllis lying about Danny’s paternity and cutting Phyllis out of Daniel’s life when Danny found out. Oh, and Christine (Lauralee Bell). She’s the villain here, too. She… uhm… didn’t want to upset Daniel by revealing a secret that wasn’t hers to reveal.
As Daniel goes off to yell at Danny for loving him like his own, Phyllis has a warning to Christine. Which is more than she gave her before trying to run her over. We call that maturity.
Sharon (Sharon Case) is always hooking up with psychos. This time, it’s not Adam or Matt, but a psycho named Cameron. Nick (Joshua Morrow) is always trying to help. But, if you think that JT was Sharon and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first encounter with hiding a dead body that turned out to be alive, after all… well, you’d be wrong. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
