The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, October 1, 2020, reveal a very tough day for Faith as she learns more about her early life and what could have been.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

As far as Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) knows, there has never been a question about who her parents are. They may never get it together in terms of staying together, driving her crazy throughout her young life to the point where she wanted to divorce them both, but she knew Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) were her folks and they loved her. She had known for years that she had been kidnapped as a baby, but that was at far as it went.

She had no idea she had almost been raised by Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) after Ashley had lost her baby and Adam blamed himself. He wanted to make it up to Ashley, so he let Sharon believe her new baby had died and handed Faith to Ashley. It was Nick who finally learned the truth.

Well, today, a teenage Faith finally learns the whole truth courtesy of Billy (Jason Thompson) clicking publish without really caring who he hurt as he exposed Adam’s litany of crimes in print.

Faith confronted both her parents to learn if this was all true, and Nick and Sharon had to tell her it was. Faith can barely believe her mother has been friendly with (well, more than friendly, but Faith doesn’t know all that) with a man who had done this to their family, but Sharon tries to explain that Adam had been sick and she was trying to help him.

That really doesn’t fly with Faith, but Nick tells her not to harass her mother before she goes in for another surgery. Faith decides to let it go, taking Nick’s advice that it will just blow over like every other Internet sensational story, but it doesn’t.

When Faith is alone, she begins getting text messages from kids at school bullying and picking on her, telling her she is a switcheroo and wondering if she is actually with her real parents now. It’s a lot for a teenage girl to take and Billy definitely didn’t think about who he’d affect with his revenge article. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
