The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Faith Has Another Freakout

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, October 13, 2020, reveal things are not getting much better for poor teenager Faith Newman.

As if getting bullying texts from some terrible friends about her switched-at-birth story wasn’t bad enough, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) still has to contend with her mother’s health and her fears about what will happen next. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is once again her sounding board as Faith lets loose.

What if Mom dies? What if the latest surgery didn’t work and Sharon (Sharon Case) gets bad news again soon? What if she already got bad news and is trying to keep it from everyone because she doesn’t want pity? Remember how she tried to keep her initial diagnosis a secret?

Mariah tries talking her off the ledge, pointing out that Sharon is now planning a wedding so she’s looking towards the future. Of course, Faith finds the negative here as well and tells Mariah that Sharon might be looking for that last bit of happiness while she can get it.

Finally, Mariah talks to Sharon about Faith’s problems and fears, and Sharon, despite being a therapist, is not quite sure how to allay these fears with her own child. She knows she has to do something, but what Mariah said is right. Sharon is looking towards a happy future and indeed can’t wait to have that future married to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). He even calls his family in Florida to let them know a wedding is coming up, but of course, there are no details yet.

Perhaps Sharon wants to get Faith into some real therapy soon because the young girl is not doing very well. And maybe Mariah should be the one to take charge here because Faith needs help and Sharon has so much to deal with she may have to admit she can’t do it all.
