The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, January 3, 2020, reveals a potentially deadly situation for Sharon. Something could be very, very wrong as she lives out one of everyone’s worst nightmares.
The normally sunny and fun Sharon (Sharon Case) isn’t quite herself in the coming episode. Sure, she smiles and tries to be her regular bright light but something will be off. She will physically be at the coffee house but her mind is a million miles away.
Sharon passes off forgetting key moments and big invites as holiday exhaustion. It makes sense to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). Who isn’t tired after hosting dinners and parties and attending countless others? Lord knows they could all use a vacation.
Heck, Sharon will even brush her problems aside and be there for Nick. The poor guy is heartbroken and needs a listening ear. Of course, she’s more than happy to listen to his tales of woe. Little does Nick know his problems are nothing compared to what Sharon’s going trough.
Saying goodbye to Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) adds even more stress. Sharon’s baby is going back to boarding school and it’s hard to see her go. In true Sharon fashion, she puts on a brave face when she hugs her daughter one more time.

Sadly, Faith leaving may be a good thing for her mama. Sharon could be facing a devastating and deadly illness. As it turns out, Sharon’s forgetfulness and stress all lead back to her finding a lump in her breast.
Sharon puts her bravest foot first and calls her doctor to make an appointment. She explains her discovery and all but begs for the next available appointment. If this is cancer, she needs to know and she needs to know right now. Every day counts and she’s not risking her health.
Could it be true? Rumor has it Sharon’s about to face the biggest fight of her life. She’s battled mental health, she’s fought lung poisoning, and she even survived getting hit by a car.
