Viewers who were around for Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death remember what it was like. Devon (Bryton James) was inconsolable. All he could talk about was what an incredible woman his late wife was, how good, how kind, how selfless, how noble.

How the two of them never so much as argued, much less divorced, and endlessly sniped at each other. Everyone in Genoa City knew he was deluding himself but, hey, the dude was sad, let him remember whatever he wants.

Now, however, Devon has a brand new audience! Amanda wants to hear what Devon has to say about Hilary, and she doesn’t know that he’s recalling a woman who never existed.

How will this help Amanda figure out why she and her twin sister were allegedly born in two different states? We have no idea, but she seems to think it will help. And Devon is going along with her. Hey, Amanda is sad, let her ask whatever she wants…

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) knows of Billy’s (Jason Thompson) plan to expose all of Adam’s (Mark Grossman) past misdeeds. She’s all for it! In fact, while Billy is paying Alyssa to see what dirt she can dig up about Adam’s time in Las Vegas as Spider the Card Shark, Victoria is skipping the middle man and going straight to Chance (Donny Boaz).

Chance already promised Adam that he would keep his lip zipped – Chance has as much to lose as Adam, after all. But what if Victoria asks really, really nicely?
