The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, July 24, 2020 end fan favorite week with an episode from almost exactly five years ago, August 14, 2015, to be exact, when Devon was about to marry Hillary (for the first time) with Neil in attendance, Lauren as matron of honor, and the most important guest at any soap wedding– a secret.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

A lot of men might not like the woman their son is marrying. In Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) case, it’s because the woman his son Devon (Bryton James) is marrying was kind of still married to Neil when she and Devon began their relationship. Yeah, you can see where that would be a sticking point.

But Neil is a classy guy. So, on the day of Devon and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) wedding, he and Devon make amends. And it’s a good thing, too. Because, if they hadn’t, Devon would have never gotten the chance to marry the woman who – after she died – he decreed to be the most perfect human being who ever lived.

The funny part is, on their actual wedding day, he doesn’t seem to feel that way. On their actual wedding day, Devon seems to have a pretty realistic sense of who his wife to be is, which is a good thing to have heading into a marriage.

You know what isn’t a good thing to have heading into a marriage? A secret. But Devon has one of those, too.
