The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, October 30, 2020, reveal Elena not getting what she wanted when Devon stops by for a visit.

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) barely knows what to do with her life. Deep down she knows she has feelings for Nate (Sean Dominic) and Nate has made it clear he has feelings for Elena. But she’s even willing to sacrifice her career to avoid Nate at all costs.
So, she finds herself sitting in the new apartment she now shares with Lola (Sasha Calle). Just two lonely women who plan to go out dancing every night. However, when Devon (Bryton James) shows up, Elena finally feels some hope. Sure, she is surprised to see him but she’s about to get more of a surprise.
Devon wants to talk about what happened between them and what happened between her and Nate. And he is not angry. He is actually quite pleasant, which gives Elena some hope as they sit down for a serious conversation.

Well, that serious conversation does not go as she wanted. Devon tells Elena to move on with her life, go be with Nate, go be happy, and don’t let him stop the two of them from being together. He gets it. She has more in common with Nate, especially as they are both doctors. She’s able to confide in Nate. Maybe they are who was meant to be and not him and Elena.
A devastated Elena doth protest too much after Devon finishes his speech. She tells Devon how much she loves him and it was only one time and she has no idea what she was thinking. Once again, she begs for forgiveness.
But Devon isn’t having it. He points out that Elena didn’t love him enough not to sleep with Nate, even if it was just one time. He basically tells her that she made her bed, so to speak, and now she needs to lie in it. Then he calmly walks out giving a confused Elena a lot to think about.
