The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal a shocking money move that may have lasting consequences in Genoa City!
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) makes it rain on Nick (Joshua Morrow) who wallows in the cash like he’s not a Newman and has never before seen money in his life. Sure, he’s not as rich as he once was, but it’s not like he’s ever been completely destitute either.
Why he’s acting like $250,000 is a massive windfall is anybody’s guess…
Anyway, Chelsea agreed to give some of her money to help Nick and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) with their low rent housing project. The rest, though, Nick wants her to spend on herself.
However, she has other ideas.
While Nick obviously loves his new hands-on job, Chelsea is clearly tired of seeing her (somewhat inept) man with a hammer in his hand. She’s likely had one too many interrupted showers and mishaps during Nick’s remodeling efforts.

She’s planning to get him some real help, so he can be more of a project manager instead of the manual labor. Perhaps, eventually, she’ll even get her bathroom back if everything works out with the new guy.
Plus, she wants to secure the boys’ future (again, they have the last name Newman, so Grandpa Victor likely secured it a while back with a lot more than a quarter million dollars).
Or, at least that’s what she says. However, once Nick goes off to meet the new contractor, Chelsea sneaks out with two big piles of cash.
Shockingly, she ends up at Adam’s (Justin Hartley) final resting spot, and for some reason, she takes off the plaque and places the money inside. Why would a dead Adam Newman need a big bundle of cash?
