The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, June 26, 2020, promise a finish to Daytime Emmy winners week with the July 19, 1999 episode that earned them their youngest winner in the Outstanding Younger Actress category yet.
Little Cassie takes the stand in the custody battle between Nick, Sharon, and her adoptive mother, Alice, while Ashley and Cole get hot and heavy, and Neil is there to serve Victor.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights
Outstanding Younger Actress is a category that stretches all the way up to age 25, so most of the time, it’s won by a leading lady, not a kid.
Camryn Grimes, on the other hand, blew away the much more experienced competition when tiny Cassie testified about her life with Millie, her adoptive grandmother who adored Cassie, but just wasn’t physically up for the challenge of raising a little girl, versus her time with Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). Millie was Alice’s mom.
Remember the storyline of Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) runaway sister, and Alice, the woman who was grooming the girls for their lives of prostitution? Yup, this is the same Alice. The woman who adopted a newborn Cassie and then got bored and dumped her when she found out parenthood was less than 24/7 fun.
Up and Down
Cole (J. Eddie Peck) was excoriated when the grown man dated a still teenaged Victoria (then-Heather Tom). So for his next conquest, he decided to go up the age ladder rather than down, opting for an older woman, Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Which, as you can imagine, thrilled Victor (Eric Braeden) to no end.
Other Concerns
Of course, his ex-wife dating his ex-son-in-law wasn’t Victor’s primary concern for this episode. That would be the love of his life: Newman Enterprises.
Someone once again wants to take it from him, so Victor, once again, needs to prove how all he does is win, win, win. This time, he has Neil (Kristoff St. John) helping him. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
