The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, February 7 cap out the week with a — brace yourselves, folks — a Very Special Episode. Sharon is feeling worse than ever emotionally and receives a very special visit.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights
Sharon has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Sharon Case has given us a Public Service Announcement about self-exams and getting a mammogram, and researching treatment options. Sharon even taught her two living daughters to do the same.
She’s told Nick (Joshua Morrow), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) not to hover over her, and she’s made a quasi-peace with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Now it’s time for the Very Special Episode.
No, It’s Not Mariah
This is the episode where one actor gets to take center stage. We had it a few months ago when Billy (Jason Thompson) took a nap, chatted with characters representing his issues, and woke up recovered from split personalities as if it were a cold.
Now it’s Sharon’s turn. She cries, she remembers, she rages and — extra bonus, the way Billy spoke to the deceased by now somehow teen-aged Delia, Sharon will talk to the deceased, but now coincidentally in her thirties, Cassie (also played by Camryn Grimes).
Nick and Sharon recently celebrated Cassie’s birthday (and Mariah also celebrated her own birthday), presumably to catch new viewers up on the little girl Sharon gave up for adoption. (She didn’t know there’d been twins; go with it. They later reunited and Sharon raised her with Nick until Cassie’s death in a drunk driving accident.
So now that the scene has been set, prepare to be properly moved s Sharon gets a pep talk from her dead daughter. She thinks it’s Mariah at first, but it’ not. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
