The Young and the Restless spoilers for August 17-21, 2020 reveal a plea for assistance, a power play of epic proportions, and so much more.
Adam (Mark Grossman) continues to struggle with reconciling the fact that he was responsible for killing AJ Montalvo. Out of sheer desperation, he turns to Sharon (Sharon Case) and begs her to work with him on a professional basis… and she agrees. But only on the proviso that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) okay the sessions.
And that’s going to be easier said than done. Chelsea is absolutely against the idea of Adam working with his ex and she instead attempts to convince her fiancé to simply forgive himself and forget that the incident even transpired.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) – finally (re)ensconced as Newman Enterprise’s steward – takes a top-secret meeting with Jack (Peter Bergman), then announces her intention to hold a press conference.
She refuses to divulge the information that she will be discussing – especially to the concerned members of her own family. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is certain that her daughter intends to out Adam as a killer and she begs Victoria to keep the information to herself.
When the appointed hour arrives, Victoria insists that great and wonderous events are about to transpire and that Newman Enterprises will be all the better for them. Then she summons Jack, Billy (Jason Thomspon), and Lily (Christel Khalil) to her podium and reveals that she has aligned herself with the Abbott family and Chancellor Media. But what exactly does Victoria have up her sleeve?
In other Genoa City news, Nick (Joshua Morrow) inspires a new venture for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) at the Grand Phoenix – and Abby (Melissa Ordway) is determined to suss out the exact details for herself. Also, Jack and Traci (Beth Maitland) reminisce about their childhood.
Meanwhile, Billy encourages Amanda (Mishael Morgan) to take a risk, and she winds up discussing Hilary with Devon (Bryton James). We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that this isn’t exactly what Billy Boy had in mind.
Finally, Chance (Donny Boaz) gets a reality check courtesy of Abby, and Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Theo (Tyler Johnson) call a truce. In the event’s aftermath, the former gets put on notice by Nick and the latter manages to charm Lola (Sasha Calle) into letting down her guard. Are we witnessing the birth of a new supercouple?
