The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, August 5, 2020 feature a shocking moment from April 16, 2004 when Sharon and Nikki first bonded over a dead body. Did you know JT wasn’t their first? Plus, Phyllis and Christine continue to push each other’s buttons. It’s not their first time, either.
Isn’t it funny how, when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) bonked JT (Thad Luckinbill) over the head and, in a panic, begged Phyllis (then-Gina Tognoni), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to help her drag his body into the trunk of her car then secretly bury him under the Chancellor fountain, Sharon and Nikki didn’t exchange even a single look to acknowledge that they’d done this before?
Sixteen years ago, it was just the two of them, and the victim was Cameron (Linden Ashby, real-life husband of Susan Walters, who once played Diane, Kyle’s mom – fun Soap Hub facts!), the guy who Sharon had an off-camera affair with. And who then didn’t opt to take ‘no more’ for an answer. He also slapped her around. Then fell asleep.
Guess it wore him out. He followed Sharon to Genoa City a year later and threatened to tell Nick. Over and over. Fed up, Sharon thought she killed Cameron. She didn’t. Flunky Larry claimed he’d dumped the body in a sewer. But Nikki and Sharon decided to make sure… And what they found proved even worse!
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) hates Christine (Lauralee Bell). Christine hates Phyllis. It’s because Christine married Danny (Michael Damian). And Phyllis wanted him. So Phyllis had Danny’s child. Christine didn’t want that.
There were also murder attempts, dead sea life in beds, much, much snarking. These two have quite a bit to discuss. Which they do. At a rather high volume. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
