Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first wedding was at the Collonade Room in 1982. It only makes sense that the one 20 years later takes place there, as well.
It’s not quite as fancy this time. A combination of it not being their first… and soap budgets being slashed since the 1980s. Also, Victoria isn’t nearly as adorable. Or blonde. Nonetheless, it’s a happy and loving occasion. But, wait…
Lurking In the Wings
A few years earlier, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) stole Victor’s deposit from a sperm bank so she could become pregnant with her daughter, Abby. She saw it as a make-up baby for the one she conceived with Victor early, whom she then aborted when he returned to an allegedly terminally ill Nikki. (You saw her faking that on Tuesday.)

It wasn’t even an original idea on Ashley’s part. Diane got there first and conceived Kyle. But Nikki got to the sample ahead of time and switched it with Jack’s (Peter Bergman). The men of Genoa City just leave their sperm lying around any old place.
Pictures Or It Didn’t Happen
Ashley planned to keep Abby’s paternity a secret, especially after she married Brad (Don Diamont) and he raised Abby as his own.
But then Ashley got breast cancer. And, just in case she didn’t make it, Ashley filmed a video for Abby, telling her Victor was her biological father. But, don’t worry. She hid the tape well. No one will ever find it. By accident… or on purpose. Happy wedding day, Victor and Nikki! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
