The Young and the Restless spoilers for June 1-5, 2020, reveal a special week dedicated to the Abbott family.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Last week, viewers were treated to a look back at some of this soap’s most vile villains and the havoc that they wreaked. Now YR is prepared in present five episodes detailing the ups and downs of the Abbott family.

There will be an awful lot of arguing, because the Abbott siblings do that so well (and so often). But there is also going to be a lot of celebrating (yet another thing that this clan does right). The spoilers also promise that there will be business battles and some lessons learned, as well as a few tears shed.

Here Comes The Bride

For us, it’s Monday, June 1. But for the denizens of Genoa City, it’s January 11, 1991 – Traci (Beth Maitland) and Brad’s (Don Diamont) wedding day! While last-minute preparations are underway, Dina (Marla Adams), the mother of the bride, schemes with longtime galpal Katherine (Jeanne Cooper).

Both women want to destroy Jill (Jess Walton). Dina wants her out of the way so she can reunite with John (Jerry Douglas). Katherine just wants to stick it to Jill. (It’s kinda her thing.)

Success!

It’s a (rare) banner day for the Abbott family on Tuesday. Not only does John finally regain control of Jabot (after nearly a decade of Newman rule), but Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Victor (Eric Braeden) finally make amends.

Familiar Territory

But come Wednesday, it’s back to business as usual. There’s tension brewing between Traci and Ashley, and Jack (Peter Bergman) proposes to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) – proving once and for all that he should always listen to his head rather than his heart.

John Abbott, RIP

The following day finds the family united on two fronts. The first is their mourning of the recently deceased John. The second is their determination to shut out Gloria (Judith Chapman), the man’s widow.

Yuletide Celebrations

Come Friday, the Abbotts are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas but trouble still abounds – Billy (Jason Thompson) is keeping a secret from his older siblings. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
