Shocking The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 18 show Adam’s mental state is deteriorating fast–pushing him dangerously close to insanity. Elsewhere, Dylan and Chelsea are stunned by shocking revelations.
At the condo, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) does her best to cope without Adam (Justin Hartley). As she tries to make the best of the situation with Connor, Dylan (Steve Burton) visits and shares the unbelievable news: Adam will go free.
It’s a joyous moment for Chelsea, but horrible news for Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), who is there and listening in on their conversation. The longer she listens, the deeper her anger becomes, and Chloe can barely stand it. She is left stunned.
At the jail, Adam’s mental condition rapidly deteriorates. The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal hallucinations of Victor (Eric Braeden) badgering him become so real that Adam starts believing what he sees and hears.
Elsewhere, Jill, Cane (Daniel Goddard), and Billy (Jason Thompson) discuss business operations. However, there’s an underlining message to Billy that Jill keeps reiterating — keep busy and don’t mess with Phyllis. Cane seems oblivious to their conversation. Will Billy be able to resist Phyllis?
A while later, Cane has a moment with Jill and tries to talk some sense into her. Jill wants him to help her bring Phyllis and Jack back together, but Cane has other ideas. Fortunately for Jill, he finally comes around and agrees to help her. Will their plan work or will it cause the rift between the couple to deepen?
In the meantime, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Phyllis argue about Summer and Luca. Ashley questions Phyllis’ ulterior motives about her daughter and wants the redhead to step away from Summer’s business and work things out with Jack. Despite what Ashley says, Phyllis refuses to listen.
When it becomes apparent Phyllis doesn’t care what she says, Ashley leaves and Jill appears. She’s enraged and blasts Phyllis, who only had one goal–to hold onto Jack.
Unfortunately, Big Red decides she’s had enough of Jill and puts her foot down. She’s finished trying to work things out, and turns to bigger issues at hand. Jill can’t twist her arms any longer.
At the bar, Jack reminisces about his father. It’s been some tough years and, at the moment, Jack feels the weight of his problems. Will our Genoa City players find the answers and the comfort they so desperately need? Stay tuned for the next episode of The Young and the Restless to find out!
