The Young and the Restless (YR) spoilers promise of a day of heartache and worry for a certain Genoa City citizen. Cane (Daniel Goddard) learns Sam suffers from a life-threatening condition and drastic actions need to be taken to save his life!
Poor Sam has suffered health issue after health issue since his birth, and the latest revelation leaves Cane broken and helpless.
The preemie has a heart condition, and Cane is told to brace himself for the worst. With no one to turn to, the troubled father is anxious and tormented by his situation.
However, in his hour of utmost despair, someone shows up to offer her help. Cane cannot believe his eyes. Because of him, their marriage suffered, their children experienced unnecessary hardship, and yet Lily (Christel Khalil ) is there by his side, holding his hand, and giving him unconditional support.
The doctors tell the worried couple that Sam may need blood. Without hesitation, Lily signs the papers to see if she is a match. Her kind gesture leaves Cane brimming with love, guilt, and regret.

What Cane did was unforgivable, but Sam was an innocent bystander and the half-brother to Charlie and Mattie. That meant he was part of the Ashby family, and part of her life.
Lily wasn’t about to allow a tiny baby to suffer and that touched Cane to the core.
When Cane updates Lily on the results of her blood test, she is stunned. In order to save Sam, Lily would need to be much more involved than initially thought. The news is unexpected, but they are prepared to move forward with the surgery for the baby.
