The Young and the Restless day-ahead recap (YR) for Tuesday, June 19th features key players reliving the past, focusing on the future, and taking on the here and now.

Paternity Woes
Jack (Peter Bergman) couldn’t wait to share the news of the photograph with his sister and niece, as well as question his mom about the whole event.

Of course, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) warned her brother to tread these waters carefully as they don’t know anything yet and Dina wasn’t in any condition for a chat.

Old Friends
Esther (Kate Linder) got quite a shock when Jack called her to meet for a drink at the club. She wasn’t sure what to expect and certainly couldn’t dream he would be asking about Kay and Phillip.

She didn’t come into play until well after Phillip’s death and knows nothing about the situation. But, she did offer up the family’s phone numbers.

Tread Carefully!
Abby (Melissa Ordway) introduced her boyfriend to her mother and while the meeting went well, it came to a head when Nikki arrived on the scene.

Nikki warned her stepdaughter to stay on her toes around the handyman, especially where Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) concerned. He does have an affinity for older women, after all.

Pregnancy Problems
Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) not feeling the greatest these days as morning sickness has taken over her life. The mama-to-be had a rough day as she tried to hide her illness from Devon (Bryton James).

Thankfully, Devon’s a devoted dad and ready to take on everything the pregnancy throws their way.

An Unexpected Turn of Events
Speaking of putting a damper on things, Sharon (Sharon Case) nearly ruined her love life. She walked away from Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) proposal saying she needed time to think.

Luckily, the next person she spoke to was Mariah (Camryn Grimes) who talked her mom into saying yes. Nick and Sharon are meant to be and deserve…continue reading on the next page —>

Luckily, the next person she spoke to was Mariah (Camryn Grimes) who talked her mom into saying yes. Nick and Sharon are meant to be and deserve a slice of happiness.

Meanwhile, the runaround had Nick panicked she would say no and he leaned on Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) for support. She bluntly told Nick to take a step back and hear Sharon out.

For the first time in a very long time, Phyllis actually agreed with Sharon and even took her side. Christian’s custody is at risk and walking making a clean break could be the only way to get his child back.

In true Nick fashion, he decided not to listen to reason and made another play for Sharon’s heart.

A Shoulder to Lean On
Nick wasn’t the only ex-husband Phyllis helped out. When she ran into Jack she heard his whole tale of woe.

Jack needs to do some quick DNA testing but it looks impossible since Phillip and Chance are on a Himalayan safari and won’t be back for months. The only Chancellor left in town is six feet underground.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
