The Young and the Restless Day-Ahead recap for Tuesday, July 10 features the downfall of Newman Enterprises, the disaster with JT, and Cane’s fury over Kyle’s antics.
The Women Got Serious
Sharon (Sharon Case) attempted to warn Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about JT but Phyllis didn’t believe her, even after hearing Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) confirm she also saw him.
But, Phyllis sees Sharon is serious enough they need to spill it all to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and the women headed over to her office.
Tensions rose when Nick (Joshua Morrow) interrupted the little gathering. He’s had enough of the ladies keeping secrets and demanded answers. The women do their best to cover their tracks and change the narrative to JT attacks on NE. Unfortunately, this only made Nick even more riled up.
Custody Drama
This became the last of Nick’s worries when Brittany called telling him a decision about Christian has been made.
A New Attitude
Over at Jabot, Billy (Jason Thompson) explains how things work under his charge. Things are different now and he expects his sister to follow suit. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) prides herself on being good with change but some of Billy’s new procedures seem over-the-top.
As the new COO, Ashley jumped right back in the game and even questioned some of his newest hires – including Summer (Hunter King). This didn’t sit well with Summer who realizes she won’t have any more bikini-clad meetings. Thankfully, she has Billy on her side but only if she does him a massive favor.
Neil and Ashley Get Close… Too Close
Nate (Brooks Darnell) expressed his worry about Victor’s health and Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) stress over the whole scandal. He suggested Neil stop cleaning up The Mustache’s messes and put time back into his own life.
This led to a poolside luncheon with Ashley. The friends reconnected and Ashley shared her joy at being back in the Jabot fold. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and roses but neither was NE – especially post-scandal.
A Battle of the Non-Chancellors
Kyle (Michael Mealor) tried once again to get Jack to check his DNA against Phillip’s bone fragment but his dad is a no-go.
Not only is it ethically and morally wrong, but the results wouldn’t mean much in court anyway. Fireworks ensued when Cane tries to put the Abbott boys in their place but they weren’t having any of it.
Jack warned Cane things won’t go his way – if Cane pushes him away he’ll challenge Kay’s will the second he gets DNA evidence.
An Unlikely Cupid
There was some good news on the horizon for Cane. He gets to play matchmaker for Nate and promised to find him a suitable woman. It’s time the heartbroken man moves on and gets back to living life.
