Scenes from Genoa City: Thursday, August 27, 2026
The photos above tell quite a story. That Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) make good on the attraction they’ve been trying to ignore. The weekly teasers state that Thursday’s episode is when their heated rivalry takes an interesting turn.
And Y&R’s weekly video preview shows the two going in for the kiss. We all need to remember that there’s a good reason why ignoring their chemistry could be good for Genoa City. Victoria’s a Newman. And Kyle’s an Abbott. The stakes are high.
And to borrow a phrase from Y&R’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful, the Newmans and the Abbotts don’t mix. At least not in today’s landscape. Victor (Eric Braeden) will go ballistic. And who knows, Jack (Peter Bergman) may as well.
Additionally, Kyle was once heavily involved with Victoria’s daughter, Claire (Hayley Erin). She recently questioned Kyle about why he and her mother were spending time together.
If/when Claire finds out, she might not take it very well, even though she has moved on with Holden (Nathan Owens). How far are Kyle and Victora going to take this…whatever is going on between them?
Things promise to get heated at the GCAC as well, but in a much different way. Any time you get Adam (Mark Grossman), Cane (Billy Flynn), and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) conversing, there’s bound to be heightened emotions, insults, and unsolicited advice.
And since this particular interaction is about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), Phyllis will undoubtedly be in defensive mode, as she is the one-woman Matt Clark cheerleader of Genoa City. And that’s something she will have to do, since Adam questions Phyllis’ connection to Matt.
She and Matt are pretty close. Plus, she has given him a job at Arabesque, or what’s left of it anyway. What spin will Phyllis sling at Adam in response to his questions?
Finally, the heat continues at Lily’s place. Look for Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) to continue their battle over Chancellor. On Thursday, Lily’s set to challenge Billy. And Billy, probably won’t hesitate to rise to her challenge, since he thinks he’s on the right side of history.
