The Young and the Restless spoilers for June 8-12, 2020 reveal a special week dedicated to some of this soap’s most romantic moments.
Last week, viewers were treated to a look back at the functioning dysfunctional Abbott clan. Now YR is prepared to present five episodes looking back at some of its most swoon-inducing moments. There are dinner dates, engagements, declarations of love, and even destination weddings.
On Monday, June 8, 2020, the action is rewound more than three decades to July 1986. Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) doomed romance is in full swing, while Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) finds herself being wined and dined by brother-in-law Matt (Robert Parucha).
Across town, love-shy John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) finds himself charmed by Joanna Manning (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) effervescent mother. Sadly, John never really had wonderful luck in love.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) love story takes center stage on Tuesday. Fresh from his stint in prison – for supposedly killing rapist Matt Clark – Nick surprises Sharon with an Arabian Nights-themed date (costumes and oversized tent included) set up on the Newman Ranch. They were still young and in love at this point, and they’re probably still in love today.
One day later, and it’s suddenly March 13, 2005 – the day that Michael (Christian Le Blanc) proposes to Lauren. But while that couple’s story is just beginning, Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) tale is almost at a close.
On Thursday, Michael’s younger brother Kevin (Greg Rikaart) takes the spotlight. Chloe throws caution to the wind and professes her undying love to the man who will become her future husband… but there’s a whole decade of trouble laying ahead of them!
Though he rang in 2011 with Abby (Emme Rylan) by his side, Cane (Daniel Goddard) was back together with Lily (Christel Khalil) in no time flat. Hence their second wedding – which many Genoa City-ites are flying out to attend on Friday, June 12. Too bad that didn’t end up working out in the end. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
