The Young and the Restless spoilers for July 6-10, 2020 reveal a special week dedicated to the summer months and all the inherent fun – and drama – that the season inevitably brings.
Last week it was all about the love story of Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson). Now YR is gearing up to spotlight some dramatic happenings that took place during the hottest months of the year.
Monday’s episode flashes back to July 27, 1999, and features a special Newman Family barbeque. The festivities – planned by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) – are all to celebrate Cassie’s adoption into the clan.
Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) hosting of the Abbott family barbecue takes center stage on Tuesday. Victor’s attempts to alleviate Nikki’s depressed mood and Devon’s (Bryton James) struggle to keep a secret are also featured. This episode originally aired on July 4, 2005.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) makes waves with Michael (Christian Le Blanc) – much to Christine’s (Lauralee Bell) chagrin – on Wednesday’s episode (which originally aired on August 3, 2000).
Other developments include Neil (Kristoff St. John) pressing Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) for the truth concerning her relationship with Malcolm (Shemar Moore), and Brittany (Lauren Woodland) turning up the heat with Billy (then-David Tom).
Thursday’s episode features yet another look back at Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s romantic, Arabian Nights-themed interlude – which originally aired in June 2001. Isabella’s (Eva Longoria) scheme to separate Paul and Christine is also featured.
An episode featuring the 2019 Genoa City carnival is rebroadcast on Friday, July 10. Spoilers promise that romance and intrigue will be center stage, as will the Newman family, seeing as they receive some disturbing news. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
