Scenes from Genoa City
According to weekly spoilers, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) comes clean to Jack (Peter Bergman). She is probably turning to her friend because she can’t believe how Victor (Eric Braeden) supposedly enlisted Lily (Christel Khalil, who has returned from her maternity leave) to get Newman back. She’s also furious that Victor keeps certain facts about his methods secret from her and her family. Who knows, Victor may have promised to give Lily Chancellor for her efforts in duping Cane (Billy Flynn) to help him get his company back.
But coming clean isn’t the only thing that happens during this conversation. Jack and Nikki are friends. They often turn to each other despite the fact that both Victor and Diane (Susan Walters) hate that this friendship exists. In Y&R’s weekly video preview, Diane walks in on Jack and Nikki hugging. The question is, will Diane erupt while Nikki is in the room, or will she save her fury for after Nikki leaves?
In the photos, Diane looks incredulous. She has made her husband aware that Nikki’s presence in Jack’s life triggers her. And Jack doesn’t seem to get it. And while Victor and Diane ultimately have nothing to worry about, the mere idea of their spouses turning to each other for support infuriates them. How heated will this argument get? Will Diane and Jack be able to resolve this debate without resorting to ultimatums, warnings, or anything that would affect their happy marriage?
Diane’s witnessing Jack and Nikki hug comes after Victor has witnessed the same closeness. We wonder if Diane and Victor will compare notes anytime soon.
