The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, October 9, pit Sharon against Chance as he dives into the mystery of Heather’s death, and Sharon wonders if Nick is friend…or foe?
Now that Chance (Conner Floyd) has quit Abbot-Chancellor, we’ll never find out what he was supposedly doing there. But we will see him back on the job as an investigator. Heather (Vail Bloom) is dead, and the fact that her body was found wrapped in her carpet pretty much dismisses the accidental death hypothesis.
So Chance will look into what may have happened, and he needs to start with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) at his home. Even before he knows, that’s where the murder took place. (Though, again, the carpet from her own living room should be a big clue.) We sure hope he at least thinks to look around. Blood isn’t that easy to wash out. Neither is poison.

Sharon (Sharon Case) has only had one friend recently. The dead guy in her head who is a figment of her imagination. So that’s, you know, not great. She could use someone else to confide in.
Sharon would really love it to be Nick (Joshua Morrow). But she’s not sure if he can trust him. Sure, Nick and her daughters have been very concerned about her, and they’ve offered to do whatever she needs to help. But on the other hand, Nick is also close with her victim’s mother. He also has that nagging sense of right and wrong that he most definitely did not inherit from his father. So, is he the right person for Sharon to turn to? Does he still love her? More than anyone — or anything — else?
