The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, October 23, demonstrate that Heather is the least important person in her own murder investigation as Phyllis, Daniel, and Danny have their say instead.
Father
Heather’s (Vail Bloom) own father, Paul (Doug Davidson), had a heart attack when he heard the news about her death. That is why he isn’t in Genoa City supporting Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant), and dealing with his grief.
On the other hand, Daniel’s father, Danny (Michael Damian) is on tour, singing around the world. And he can’t disappoint his fans! But, hey, Danny video-chats his son — that’s something. We’re sure he’ll be loving and nurturing…and send a designated representative.

Mother
However, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford — who reflected on 30 years) has been by Daniel’s side through thick and thin, whether he wants her there or not. She’s been there to offer comfort, mostly by talking about herself. Doesn’t putting Phyllis front and center make everyone feel better? Phyllis is suffering so much on her son’s behalf. She really needs people to acknowledge that.
Well, not people. Mostly Nick (Joshua Morrow). After all, it’s so obvious that Nick’s ex-wife, Sharon (Sharon Case), is the real culprit. Why won’t Nick agree, help Phyllis prove it, and then return to her? Not that Phyllis wants Nick necessarily. But she does need him to want her. And she is really, really tired of waiting for that to happen.
Son
Daniel is also tired of waiting. Especially when every day the real killer isn’t found is another day Chance (Conner Floyd) suspects Daniel of having done the deed. He sees Phyllis’ point that Sharon is the most likely guilty party. And if she won’t confess to Chance or Nick or Phyllis, well, maybe Daniel can get her to talk. Isn’t there something Sharon would like to get off her chest?
