The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 29, set Billy on the warpath against Adam. And we strongly suspect that the reason he claims for his anger… isn’t really the reason. Plus, Nikki’s health takes a surprising turn.
Key Takeaways
- Billy demands answers from Adam.
- Cane and Lily get hotter.
- Nikki’s health status changes.
Billy’s Fight With Adam Is Really About Sally
We loved it when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was the one who broke the news to Billy (Jason Thompson) that Sally (Courtney Hope, who shared this big relief) had given Newman Media back to Adam (Mark Grossman) — which means back to Victor (Eric Braeden).
Sally tried to explain herself while lying. Billy, of course, blamed Adam and stomped off to confront him. Billy wants Adam to think this is just business. With just a touch of leftover anger over Adam killing Delia.
But this isn’t about business, and this isn’t about Billy’s lost little girl. This is about Sally. And Billy’s jealousy that Sally is only with him because Adam cheated on Sally with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). So he yells about a media company. But he’s the one who’s not communicating.
Cane Sees Another Chance to Win Lily Back
Lily (Christel Khalil) has already given Cane (Billy Flynn) a second chance. And a third chance. (Hey, where is Sam, the son Cane fathered while married to Lily, whom she generously raised for a while?)
So what’s a fourth/fifth/sixth chance, more or less? Lily seems to be defrosting when it comes to Cane. And he’s there to turn up the flame.
Nikki’s Medical Update Brings New Hope and New Questions
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is having a hard time adjusting to her blindness. It’s hard, especially since she doesn’t know whether this will be her new normal or just a temporary setback.
She’s been somewhat honest with Victor, who has been as supportive as he can be — he is going to let Nikki not get better, even though she knows how this upsets him. So when there’s a sudden change in her condition, Victor is there to assure her he’ll be OK with it.
