Victor (Eric Braeden) tried using a supposedly kidnapped Lily (Christel Khalil) and her kids against Cane (Billy Flynn). When Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) outmaneuvered them both — by committing only a few crimes — Victor needed a new plan.
Although instead of going back to the more obvious well and kidnapping Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) — since Victor’s precious granddaughter, Summer, is obviously out of bounds; she is too Newman to be used as a pawn — Victor decides to kidnap Jack (Peter Bergman), instead. As long as someone in Genoa City is kidnapped, we know we’re watching the right show.

Good For Me
The last time Victor had Jack kidnapped and replaced with a lookalike named Marco, Marco’s subsequent repeated rape of Phyllis traumatized her so much that Phyllis cheated on Jack with Billy (Jason Thompson). So that kidnapping worked out quite well for Billy.
Now this one might not be as good for him, since we presume Victor wants to trade Jack for Chancellor — and the rest of Newman. But does Victor really think reminding Phyllis about the last time he kidnapped Jack is going to put her in a warm and fuzzy frame of mind towards him?
Only Hope
When Billy brings Kyle (Michael Mealor) the news, Jack’s son gets ready to fight back against Victor. What does he think he can do, exactly, short of tattling on Victor to Claire (Hayley Erin) and, even more important, to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott)? They might be able to do something to Victor. Not Kyle.
