No one is better at sabotaging themselves than Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). If there is a decision to be made, Phyllis is the best at making the wrong one, then looking confused, put upon, and self-righteous when it blows up in her face.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) genuinely cares about Phyllis. Which is why she is trying to save her friend from her worst impulses. Phyllis insists that Cane is just dying to go into business with her. Amanda is trying to keep her from doing something truly dumb. Again.

Left Behind
While his family seethes in France, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) are holding down the fort in Genoa City. To Victor (Eric Braeden), that means they’re available to run little errands for him.
Like, do some Googling about Cane. Sure, Victor could do it himself, but he’s a very important man, and he has very important things to do. Besides, he needs to remind Adam and Chelsea who is the boss. So, yeah, go do his dirty work. He’ll explain how you got it wrong once he gets home.
