The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, June 12 remind Chelsea — and, through Chelsea, the world — that Victor’s way is the only way. And if you want something to go a different way, you need to make sure that Victor approves first.

Ever since she and Adam (Mark Grossman) got back together, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) has repeatedly expressed her shock that Victor (Eric Braeden) is still pulling her man’s strings. Victor wants Adam to go after Billy (Jason Thompson).
Chelsea, who is convinced Billy is still mourning her cheating on him with Adam, wants to make his life a little better. She asked Adam to take it easy on Billy. Adam said, “No can do. Daddy issues.” So, after a chat with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Chelsea took her case directly to Victor. Victor is happy to give Chelsea what she wants. Just as soon as she does a couple of errands for him. And by a couple, he means now, and for the rest of her life. It’s a very Wizard of Oz kind of meeting.

Go For It
Kyle (Michael Mealor) has had another of his brilliant ideas. (It’s a very Blair Warner from The Facts of Life kind of thing.) Kyle will sign a contract promising Victor that if he breaks Claire’s (Hayley Erin) heart, Kyle will pay Victor five million dollars and leave Genoa City.
Putting aside the fact that five million dollars is nothing to both of them — Victor, because he has a lot more, and Kyle, because he didn’t earn any of it — this plan has so, so many flaws.
Party of the First Part
First and foremost, how do you define Claire’s broken heart? If they have a fight? If he doesn’t load the dishwasher correctly? (Ha, like Prince Kyle even knows what dishwasher is. He probably thinks he gets new tableware for every meal.) Do they have to break up, or just be on a break?
What if Claire breaks up with him because she realizes you don’t have to spend the rest of your life with the first boy you kissed? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) And how long does Kyle have to leave Genoa City for? Can he never come back?
Does Harrison (Redding Munsell) have to come, too, or is he to be left for Victor as collateral? We’d say Michael (Christian Le Blanc) should look over this silly contract, but Victor will probably take that as yet another betrayal. Then again, who needs Michael? Claire thinks it’s a dandy plan!
