The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 3, bring hope that Kyle might have that smug smirk wiped off his face as Jack makes it clear he’s not quite the idiot Kyle — and Victor — think Jack is.
Bad Planner
Kyle (Michael Mealor) has always believed he could get away with anything. When he first returned to Genoa City, he was actively scheming with Victor (Eric Braeden) against his own father. But Jack (Peter Bergman) forgave him.
Kyle figured Daddy would always forgive him. What options does he have? Kyle is his only son. (They remembered Keemo only to kill him off and sent Keemo’s daughter, Allie, off to Paris to do…something.) This is why Kyle assumed that, when it came to choosing between him and his mom, Jack would, as always, pat Kyle on the head and let him have his way.
Only, oops, no. Jack sided with Diane (Susan Walters). Kyle threw a literal hissy fit, stomped off, and told Victor he was ready to scheme with him — again. Jack will suck it up. Jack always does. Except maybe not this time.
Real and Imagined
Billy (Jason Thompson) has really leaped into his role as Jill’s (Jess Walton) representative at Chancellor-Winters, even though he’s not a Winters. Or a Chancellor, for that matter.
Do you know who is a Chancellor? His cousin, Chance (Conner Floyd — who showed fans a fun BTS). He even works for Chancellor-Winters now. So, shouldn’t he have more of a say than Billy? Chance is starting to think maybe he should.
Why Not Me?
Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver — who made a big move) have circled each other for months. They’re both kind of getting tired of it. And now that Audra has been saddled with Kyle as a partner — and Kyle only looks out for Kyle, that’s pretty clear — she will need another ally.
Oh, look, here’s Nate. Nate loves using women to get ahead. This is a match made in…Genoa City.
