The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 24, take a break from business intrigue long enough for Devon to propose a personal change to Abby.
Three on a See-Saw
We haven’t seen much of Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James) outside of the office. We assume they’re living happily somewhere with Dominic, going to the park and baby music classes when they’re not merging companies, splitting up companies, or flying off to Paris to check on mentally unstable mothers.
They’re so happy, in fact, that Devon decides to up their happiness quotient and ask Abby to marry him. Sure, that’s something else they could do…off-screen.
Stepping In
And speaking of companies being merged and split up, Victor (Eric Braeden) decided to step into the fray. This is obviously his business. After all, Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) left him her company, and he sold it to Jill (Jess Walton). Ergo, it’s still his.
That means Devon, Billy (Jason Thompson), Lily (Christel Khalil), and Nate (Sean Dominic) must be on the edge of their seats, waiting for Victor to come in and bellow some orders about how they should be feeling, thinking, and, most importantly, doing. You, got that?
Big Sib
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) claimed she wanted to focus on her long-lost daughter, Claire (Hayley Erin), and maybe even reconnect with Claire’s father, Cole (J. Eddie Peck). But then Victor started playing musical chairs with Newman Enterprises positions, and Victoria felt obliged to step up. We get that part.
She did it partially for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). What we don’t get is why Victoria feels that gives her license to grill Adam (Mark Grossman — who wasn’t feeling a certain storyline). When will Victoria ever believe that her dad is the one stirring up all this animosity? Adam is just trying to get by. He has much, much more important things on his mind than his older sister.
