The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, July 18, are just another day in Genoa City, as Victor doesn’t care what his wife and son want as long as he gets what he wants.
Terms and Conditions
Victor (Eric Braeden) knows what’s important in life. Family. And getting revenge on Jack (Peter Bergman). And what better way to get revenge on Jack than by forcing his family to do Victor’s bidding?
First, Victor needs Adam (Mark Grossman) to take the Newman Media job and use the company to destroy Jabot. Because Victor is a big believer in the freedom of the press… to do what Victor wants. Adam doesn’t want to. He has a lot on his plate: Connor’s (Judah Mackey — who we recently interviewed) mental issues, Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) repeating over and over again that they must never discuss their sleeping together secret again. Victor doesn’t care. Here is what Adam is going to do, and here is how he is going to do it.
Hold the Fort
Victor needs to boot Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) from her position so that Adam can take over Newman Media. He’s framing it as for Nikki’s own good. No one is buying it. Not even Victor’s biggest cheerleader, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), not even Victor’s biggest enabler, Nikki.
Victor is ready to move Adam into the job, but Nikki is all, “Heck, no, we won’t go.” How will Victor convince her that he’s only looking out for her and that going against Victor’s wishes is a betrayal he can never forgive? Let’s watch!
Chip Off the Old Block
Summer (Allison Lanier) is feeling like Kyle (Michael Mealor) is keeping her from Harrison (Redding Munsell), and the only thing she can think of is to sue for custody of the child she never legally adopted — as far as we know.
But that’s not going to get her a lot of support. Except from Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Marrow), who always stand behind their little girl. But what happens when Phyllis and Nick don’t agree on how they feel about Summer’s actions?
