The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, July 16, find Diane and Jack getting fed up with Kyle’s spoiled brat behavior. They form a united front and let him know what will be happening from now on.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) has spent the past few weeks throwing tantrums that his mother—and his boss—is giving him orders at work, and his father—his even bigger boss—is backing her up. Kyle first just whined and complained and undermined Diane (Susan Walters), but then he announced to Jack (Peter Bergman) that he was quitting and going to run a new company. It would be great, and everyone there would listen to him, and they were going to bring Jabot down, and oh, yeah, Kyle wasn’t going to let his Mommy and Daddy pay for him and his son’s room and board anymore either, so, ha, aren’t you sorry now!
Diane tried to reason with her brat. Jack tried to remind him that he shouldn’t let his professional decisions affect his personal ones. But enough of that. If Kyle is going to be a jerk, then he deserves to be treated like one—starting at home, starting now. (He’s making big mistakes.)
And if Jack Abbott has plans for his family, then you know Victor (Eric Braeden) will want to undercut him by getting some plans—better ones, bigger ones, more Newman ones—for his own family. Victor has already told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Adam (Mark Grossman) what they’d be doing for him.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) has been keeping his distance. But Claire (Hayley Erin) is fair game. And now that Faith (Reylynne Castor), Johnny (Paxton Mishkind), and Katie (Sienna Mercuri) are home for the summer, so are they. So listen up, clan, Daddy/Grandpa is talking.
