The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, January 10, force Jack to face the fact that his son is… kind of lame. And it might be up to Jack to fix that.

Jack (Peter Bergman) has put up with so much from Kyle (Michael Mealor). Kyle repeatedly sided with Victor (Eric Braeden) against his own family, and Jack forgave him every single time. Finally, Jack got fed up, and he and Diane (Susan Walters) pulled a con on Kyle to demonstrate how Victor doesn’t give a damn about him.
Victor lived up to expectations, but Kyle still blamed Jack. It’s a new year, and the kid gloves are coming off. Jack needs Kyle to start taking responsibility for his actions. He might want to start by admitting he stole corporate secrets and still doesn’t regret it.

Everybody Wants To Rule the World
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) initially seemed to be down with whatever Ian (Ray Wise) had planned for the good people of Genoa City as long as he was along down with what she wanted to do. But, lately, she’s been having her doubts.
Ian seems to be pursuing his own agenda, not hers. Jordan doesn’t play that. It’s time to cut the deadweight loose and strike out on her own. She’s got Sharon (Sharon Case) as bait. Now, let’s see what Claire (Hayley Erin) has to say.
To Grandmother’s House We Go
Ian has already terrified Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Victor promised he’d protect her, but, well, we know how good his people are at security. (Not good. They are terrible, no matter what Victor says.)
The Newmans don’t even know about Jordan escaping from prison (see Victor’s terrible security team above). But Nikki is already worried about Claire. Victor can’t protect her. Kyle most certainly cannot. Guess it’s up to Grandma.
