The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, August 5, continue Phyllis’s clueless reign in her belief that everyone in Genoa City would benefit from her take on what they are currently doing wrong with their lives. Today’s lucky recipient? Sharon!
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has always been a giver. Especially where Sharon (Sharon Case) is concerned. When Sharon and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were drowning in grief after the death of their beloved daughter, Cassie (Camryn Grimes), Phyllis helpfully cheered Nick up by sleeping with him. (That’s where Summer [Allison Lanier — who says this makes all the difference] came from.)
Now, Phyllis is ready to ride to Sharon’s rescue yet again. Sharon’s current crisis is upsetting Nick, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Faith (Reylynn Caster). So Phyllis needs Sharon to cut it out, OK? Mostly for Nick’s sake. But, sure, her daughters, too. Sharon’s daughters are kind of sisters to Phyllis’ daughter, which makes Sharon Phyllis’ business. And if Sharon doesn’t listen, well, then Phyllis will have to take matters into her own hands! Like last time.
Daniel and Heather (Vail Bloom) did their best to raise Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) right. They even sent her to boarding school, like all the other good boys and girls in Genoa City. So it’s not their fault that Phyllis and Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) granddaughter is showing some obsessive tendencies. And her parents are rightfully worried. So are we.
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) have been at odds lately. Blame Kyle (Michael Mealor), the whiny twentysomething who blames his parents for everything that ever went wrong in his life while forgetting what they did to make it go right.
But Jack has an idea: He’ll wine and dine Diane in a night of romance to make her forget Kyle’s temper tantrums…and Jack’s role in encouraging them.
