The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 20 being Amanda back to Genoa City. Now that Cane has adjusted his plan, his right-hand woman has a new set of marching orders.

Amanda’s New Assignment

Cane (Billy Flynn) presumably left Amanda (Mishael Morgan) behind in France to clean up the mess of him keeping a dozen people prisoner, cover up not one, not two, but three deaths, and make sure the temperature stayed steady in the wine cellar. Amanda is awesome. She did all that in record time.

And now Amanda is ready for her next assignment. Which is important, because Cane came to town determined to bring down the Newmans, the Abbotts, and the Chancellors. But then Victor (Eric Braeden) mumbled some threats about how Colin (the late Tristan Rogers) got his money, and Cane did a complete 180. But he hasn’t given up completely. He just needs Amanda to fix something for him. Maybe, like, a lot of things….

Billy Tells All

Billy (Jason Thompson) pumped Cane for details about his new plan. Cane dismissed him. But Billy is not one to admit defeat. So, Cane or no Cane, Billy goes running to Jack (Peter Bergman) with details about Cane’s new plan. Which he doesn’t know. But he has his suspicions. These are just as good as facts. What are facts, anyway? Truth is relative.

Alternative facts are a thing. Even Jesus (or, at least, the musical, Jesus Christ Superstar) said, “We all have truths. Are mine the same as yours?” So Billy shares his with Jack.

Nikki Makes a Big Change

Victor promised Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) he would never take Chancellor Industries away from her. Even if Nikki wants to give it up, like she did the time she thought it could save Nick (Joshua Morrow), Victor won’t have it. So when Nikki makes an independent decision, we assume that means she got Victor’s permission first.
