The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, August 19, wrap viewers in the warm and familiar hug of Victor continuing to be right and always winning. So, you know, Monday.

Victor (Eric Braeden — who urged fans to do this) purchased Glissade so that he could get revenge on Jack (Peter Bergman). Do you think that man can be allowed to get away with risking his life to help Victor’s wife when Victor had more important things to do than notice that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was suffering? That sort of crime can never go unpunished.
So, in addition to buying a rival cosmetics company, Victor also took Newman Media away from Nikki and gave it to Adam (Mark Grossman). Because he knew Nikki wouldn’t understand why Jack must be made to suffer. But Adam would. Adam wouldn’t agree, but Adam would do what Victor says. So when Victor learns something to hurt Jack, he runs right over. So what if it’s actually about Billy (Jason Thompson)?
My Way or the Highway
And while Victor pumps up Glissade, Summer (Allison Lanier) decides that, as a Newman, she can do a little corporate restructuring at the company where her ex-husband is now working. First, Summer told Kyle (Michael Mealor) to cease contact with Audra (Zuleyka Silver — who got some help from her cat). Kyle smirked smugly in return. (We realize that’s his default expression, but, in this case, it means, “Yeah, I won’t be doing that.”)
So now Summer goes straight to Audra to explain how things would be for her from now on. Will Audra listen?
Discretion is Key
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) continue to display their new and confounding inability to lie after a lifetime of being champions at it. NO ONE MUST KNOW THAT THEY SLEPT TOGETHER. THEY MUST KEEP IT A SECRET AND NEVER DISCUSS IT AGAIN.
That’s what they repeatedly say in public, where strangers could overhear. And at home, where Connor (Judah Mackey) could.
