The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, August 14, welcome Traci back to Genoa City — but she hasn’t returned alone!
Abby (Melissa Ordway) told Devon (Bryton James) that her mom was doing great at the mental facility in Paris. It seems so great that Traci (Beth Maitland) doesn’t have to hang around in France anymore and can come home.
But, unlike the last few visits, she’s not alone. Alan (Christopher Cousins) came with her. They’re an item now. That’s…nice. It’s not that we don’t want Traci to. be happy. We do, we really do. She deserves it. But happiness does not a juicy soap opera story make. And, more than we want Traci to be happy, we want her to have a story. So. Alan. Feeling like yourself lately? No chance you might be your twin brother or anything soapy like that?
Jack (Peter Bergman) has never really had a lot of faith in Billy (Jason Thompson). We don’t blame him. Billy has never — what’s the word we’re looking for? — succeeded at anything. And the few times he came close, he quit because he was bored or unfulfilled or unsupported or something stupid or untrustworthy.
So now that he’s going to run Abbott-Chancellor with Lily (Christel Khalil) and put the family name at risk, Jack isn’t sure he’s on board with that. Billy, of course, takes it personally. Which he should. He is personally responsible.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) lost so many years with her baby girl, and she is desperate to spend as much time as possible with Claire (Hayley Erin) now. She wants to hear about every single aspect of her life.
But are there some things a grown woman shouldn’t tell her mommy? Victoria may be second-guessing her total openness policy.
