The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, September 1, kick off the new month with Kyle figuring the best way to save a floundering relationship is to propose to Claire—before she’s had time to cool down from the news flash that Kyle kissed Audra.
Kyle Proposes to Claire
Kyle (Michael Mealor) lied to Claire (Hayley Erin) about kissing Audra (Zuleyka Silver). Then he admitted to Claire that he did. Claire blew up and took off, telling him she needed time and space. Kyle told his parents what happened and then assured them he knew exactly what to do to fix the situation—he’s going to propose!

Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman) cautioned him against acting rashly. That was all Kyle needed to hear. If his mommy and daddy are against it, it must be the right thing to do. Because young people are just smarter. So off Kyle goes, running to Claire. Guess what, honey?

Audra Wants a Second Chance
Meanwhile, Claire blabbed to Nate (Sean Dominic) about the Kyle and Claire kiss. Nate dumped Audra and went running to Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) to tell them how strong and decisive he is. Lily and Devon told Nate he did the right thing. Audra is trash.
Except now, Audra has come to Nate, asking for a second chance. Serious question: Does Nate think he could ever do better? All his past relationships have blown up. He’s not exactly a catch. If someone as awesome as Audra wants him back, he should be thrilled!

Jack Sees Diane’s True Colors
Diane and Jack have to tiptoe around Kyle. If they so much as suggest they don’t think he’s doing the right thing, he throws a tantrum and threatens to move out, taking Harrison (Redding Munsell) with him.
So Jack keeps boosting his son’s ego. But Diane has reached her limit. Which surprises Jack. And leaves him questioning the woman he married.
