Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Abbott Sisters Hit Paris

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 30, deliver Ashley and Traci to France, as they try to figure out what pushed sensible, level-headed Ashley Abbott over the edge.

Four Personalities, No Waiting

When she isn’t being controlled by a bossy alter, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) agrees that she needs mental health. What she can’t figure out is what caused her psyche to splinter like this? Sure, she’s had multiple mental breakdowns before. There was the time she lost her memory and became a waitress called Anne. There was the time she carried a blanket around and insisted it was her newborn son.

But, in both cases, she’d been through a major trauma: learning that John (Jerry Douglas) wasn’t her biological father and losing her unborn baby. This time around, Ashley swears nothing bad happened to her. Traci (Beth Maitland) is trying to be supportive. Which means pretending to believe her. She traveled to Paris with Ashley once before to see if they could get the truth about her argument with Tucker (Trevor St. John). While that failed, Traci is optimistically convinced that, this time, they’ll get to the bottom and help her big sister. We wonder i Tucker will insist on being a part of it. Or if he has too many problems of his own at the moment.

It’s Her or Me

Diane (Susan Walters) is still furious that Jack (Peter Bergman, who talked Jack’s rocky road) took pills to convince Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that she should go to rehab. Jack insists he’s fine, and, look, no harm done: Nikki is back from rehab, so everything is great!

Not so fast, Jacky-boy. Diane will not have her husband continue to hang around Nikki. Not after he’s made clear that he loses all sense of reason where his ex-wife is concerned. Jack can continue being Mrs. Newman’s lap dog, or he can be the husband Mrs. Abbott wants. He can’t have both. So the choice is Jack’s.
