The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 21, deliver what every fan who has watched for more than an episode expected. Nikki and Victor reunite… but it’s not how… or why… we thought it would be.
Key Takeaways
- Nikki teams up with Victor for Nick’s sake.
- Lily and Holden are NYC-bound.
- Jack reconsiders his feelings for Patty.
Nick’s Crisis Pulls Nikki Back Toward Victor
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) told Victor (Eric Braeden) she objected to his kidnapping her friend, holding him prisoner, and using him to blackmail Jack’s (Peter Bergman) family. Victor did not take her constructive criticism well. He told Nikki she was free to leave their home and return when she was ready to admit that Victor was always right about everything.
So far, Nikki has stayed strong and kept her distance from the monster she married multiple times. But now their son, Nick (Joshua Morrow), is in crisis. Which, obviously, only Victor can fix. So he pulls Nikki in. We can only hope she’ll be able to escape again. And for good.
Lily and Holden Head to New York
Lily (Christel Khalil) and Holden (Nathan Owens) are New York City-bound, so they can use Cane’s (Billy Flynn) bone marrow and stem cells to heal their mutual dad, Malcolm (Shemar Moore). (Read all about how Lily ended up with her uncle as her dad, here.)
This should give them time to bond and really get to know each other. Maybe Lily will fill Holden in on Malcom’s very tangled Genoa City history. Or maybe Holden will blow off his sister and keep mooning over Claire (Hayley Erin).
Jack Decides Anger Is Not Working With Patty Anymore
Jack slept with Patty (Stacy Haiduk) because he was drugged in addition to being kidnapped. This made him angry. He grew even angrier when Diane (Susan Walters) left him because of it.
Jack took his anger out on Patty. That didn’t seem to get him anywhere. So now Jack is changing his approach. Maybe he can kill her with kindness?
